Getting to Amorgos

We can understand that travelling to Amorgos may sound long and as a drawback. In fact, the very fact that a little bit more of travelling is involved is what makes our island special and so different from other, more popular destinations in Greece, such as Mykonos or Santorini. It is its remoteness that has helped maintain its laid back lifestyle, its pristine nature and its original traditions. It is also what lets the island’s renown positive energy still vibrate.

Having said that, during summer season it is possible to reach Amorgos in less time. Amorgos is directly connected with high speed vessels to Santorini Island on a daily basis, with the journey only taking an hour. Santorini is a very busy airport, receiving many direct international flights, so this is a good option -find a flight to Santorini and then get the ferry to Amorgos. Similarly, Mykonos Island is also connected directly to Amorgos several times a a week during summer time and the trip takes 2 hours.

We would also like to mention the option of the direct ferry from Piraeus (port of Athens) to Amorgos, which covers the route in only 5 hours once a week during summer season. The ferry departs from Piraeus at midnight on Saturday (arriving Amorgos at 5 am on Sunday) and then back to Piraeus, departing from Amorgos Saturday afternoon, arriving Piraeus at 9 pm. True Nature will help in these travel arrangements as needed.
